2. Paul Daniels Returns Home For His Final Days
--------------------------------------------
Article forward on by Rob Thomas

Magician Paul Daniels decided to return home to see out his final days after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour, his son has said.

Martin Daniels told the Sunday Mirror doctors had not said how much time the 77-year-old might have and there was "no treatment which can help him".

He said his father "knows things are not in his hands now and we are living in the knowledge every day is a bonus".

The entertainer was diagnosed with the tumour two weeks ago.

Martin said his father had initially been taken to hospital after a fall at his home, where it was suspected he had suffered a stroke. However, after a scan the brain tumour was discovered.
"It was devastating for all of us," he said. "The doctors said the tumour was growing rapidly and could not be cured."

He added that Paul was offered radiotherapy but turned it down when he was told there was no chance it would extend his life.

7. Jason Latimer, The Curator Of Impossible Science
--------------------------------------------
Message by Jason Latimer (US)

Jason Latimer, The Curator of Impossible Science, is bring his Impossible Science Lab to Los Angeles This Spring Break!

Jason Latimer, of the Syfy TV Series "Wizard Wars," teams up with the Discovery Cube Los Angeles

Jason Latimer's
"Impossible Science Lab" runs 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., March 19th - March 27th

The Impossible Science Lab features a dozen hands-on applications and demonstrations of how to make the impossible possible through science and curiosity,

Los Angeles, CA - The Discovery Cube Los Angeles is excited to announce the dates for the first Impossible Science Lab, taking place at the Discovery Cube Los Angeles Children's Museum March 19th Through March 27th. The Impossible Science Lab will be a hands-on, interactive event that explores the science behind the seemingly impossible.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn how to turn objects invisible, explore levitation, play with the science of mind control, discover impossible figures and even learn how to walk on water. This event will examine the question "what is possible?" and use visual and interactive experiences to show how the seemingly impossible can become possible through curiosity and knowledge.

"The goal of the Impossible Science Initiative is to promote education through curiosity," said Jason Latimer, host and designer of the Impossible Science Lab. "By exploring subjects that seem impossible but showing how they can be made possible through science, visitors will have a memorable, hands-on learning experience that will blow their minds!"

If Jason Latimer looks familiar, it's because he is one of the judges, along with Penn & Teller, on Syfy's magic competition TV series, "Wizard Wars." As a scientist, three-time World Champion of Magic, winner of the BBC One's The Magicians, and huge education advocate! Jason's research based out of the Fleet Science Center in San Diego, CA and his various university lectures on the topics of invisibility, teleportation, transformation and making other "impossibilities" possible through applied science has gathered recognition in science and education communities around the world.

With his role as the Curator of Impossible Science, Latimer will be bringing his pursuit of "What is possible?" and the promise of more collaborations to the Discovery Cube Los Angeles as well as other science centers in Southern California. The Discovery Cube Los Angeles looks forward to bringing Jason's special blend of science and illusion into other realms of the science center in the future.

"The only thing separating magic from science is the understanding of the situation. Anything we don't understand is magic … which is why the right question changes everything," said Latimer. "The world was not shaped by its answers; it was shaped by its questions-and that next question could come from any of us."
